Chalk it up!

Thursday, March 24, 2011

I found this fantastic frame at a recent estate sale. It was in terrific shape sitting all alone in the basement of this house; covered in dust and crying out to me... save me!!! I just love the curly lines and how girly it is.

Instead of the typical mirror, I thought why not make this into a chalkboard? Can't you just imagine it in some fancy mudroom?? Well here it is all finished...

And here with a quote by Hal Borland:
No Winter lasts forever;
No Spring skips its turn

Have you made a fabulous chalkboard? We would love to hear about it!

Another blogger just created a cork board covered in leopard print in a gilded frame! What a pair this would make!
How FUN would it be to change the art in your frame each day! Mona Lisa one day and MC Escher the next!
I love it!
